TERMS OF SERVICE

"Platform" means the Hellokorean website and related services operated by Hanmaroo LLC. "Student" and "Teacher" mean users who purchase and provide teaching services, respectively. "Lesson Credits" means prepaid credit purchased by a Student and redeemable for lessons. "Lesson Contract" means the agreement formed directly between a Student and a Teacher when a booking is confirmed.

Welcome to Hellokorean (the 'Platform'), operated by Hanmaroo LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ('we', 'us', or 'our'). These Terms of Service ('Terms') govern your access to and use of the Platform and related services. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

Hellokorean is an online marketplace connecting learners and parents with independent teachers. Note that Hellokorean is not a school, does not employ teachers, and does not control lesson content or guarantee outcomes.

Hellokorean is a technology platform that connects Students with independent Teachers and facilitates booking, payment, and settlement. Hellokorean does not itself provide language instruction. When a Student books a lesson with a Teacher, a Lesson Contract is formed directly between the Student and the Teacher; Hellokorean is not a party to that Lesson Contract and is not responsible for how the lesson is conducted.

You must be at least 18 years old or use the Platform under parental/guardian supervision. Parents are responsible for all use of the Services by minors under their account.

All bookings and payments must be made through the Platform. Bookings are confirmed once accepted and paid. Service fees may apply and refunds follow the Platform's cancellation policy.

Hellokorean retains a service fee from each completed lesson; the remainder is paid to the Teacher.

Cancellations, no-shows, and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Teachers are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of Hanmaroo LLC. Teachers are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes owed on their earnings in their country of residence. If Hanmaroo LLC becomes liable for any tax, withholding, or similar obligation arising from a Teacher's use of the Platform due to the Teacher's failure to comply with applicable law, the Teacher agrees to reimburse Hanmaroo LLC for that amount.

You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining the internet connection, device, and software needed to access the Platform and attend lessons. Hellokorean is not responsible for lesson disruptions caused by your equipment or connection.

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (including Stripe). By making a payment, you also agree to the applicable provider's terms. If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us first at support@hellokorean.org before filing a chargeback with your card issuer; we will investigate promptly. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in a temporary hold on your account while the matter is reviewed.

Hellokorean is not responsible for disputes arising between Students and Teachers under a Lesson Contract. We may, at our discretion, assist in resolving such disputes (for example, through the 48-hour review process in our Refund Policy), but we are not obligated to do so and are not liable for the outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hellokorean will not be liable for indirect or consequential damages. Total liability is limited to the fees paid in the six months prior to the claim.

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes that affect your rights or obligations, we will provide notice (such as by email or a notice on the Platform) at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
